Special Educator for Lagmansskolan in Mjölby

The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary school, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes all children and students in lifelong learning and work according to the direction "high knowledge results in a school where everyone can and wants to be." We place great emphasis on working close to the operations through regular dialogue and support for school leaders and teachers based on the chain of command.

Lagmansskolan 4-6 is centrally located in Mjölby, within walking distance of the train station. In January 2027, we will together with Vasaskolan F-3 form the newly built Lejonbackens School F-6. We have begun our work in preparation for the merger into a joint school.

The goal and mission of the operations is to promote learning where the individual is stimulated to acquire and develop knowledge and values. Through active participation in the school's development, where we focus on raising knowledge results and through our IBIS work, is a natural part for you.

Together with students and guardians, we focus on ensuring that students reach as far as possible in their development.

Responsibilities

Special educational support regarding mapping obstacles and opportunities in the school environment and students' need for special support. Provide guidance and consultation to relevant school staff in the pedagogical work at the individual, group, and organizational levels with the aim of removing obstacles to learning.

Conduct pedagogical investigations and support the school's educators in drawing up and implementing action plans. Conduct and analyze investigations and propose suitable measures. The special educator acts as a qualified conversation partner and advisor on pedagogical issues for colleagues, guardians, and other concerned parties.

Together with the Student Health Team, follow up, evaluate, and support the development of the operations' learning environments. Conduct competence development initiatives. The special educator is managed by the principal at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree and special educator education.
